BigTool365

Privacy policy

Audio Recorder+ is designed around local recording. Your audio stays on your Windows PC unless you choose to move or share it.

Effective October 16, 2026 Audio Recorder+ for Windows

1. About this policy

This policy explains how BigTool365 ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use Audio Recorder+ and its product website. It applies to the Windows application published by BigTool365.

2. Audio, devices, and files

Audio Recorder+ accesses the microphone, Windows system audio, or audio from an application only when you select that source and use the recording or monitoring features.

Waveform monitoring, sound or voice detection, noise reduction, buffering, and audio encoding are performed locally on your device. We do not upload, receive, store, or listen to your audio recordings.

Recordings and temporary recording data are written to storage on your PC. You control the output location and remain responsible for moving, sharing, retaining, and deleting those files.

3. Settings and diagnostics

Preferences such as language, window placement, recording format, selected device, and feature settings are stored locally on your PC. Audio Recorder+ does not send these preferences to BigTool365.

Starting with version 3.0.4, the app sends limited reliability reports when it closes unexpectedly or its interface stops responding. We use these reports to understand and resolve problems. Reports may include the app version, Windows version, technical fault information, and a short sequence of basic actions such as starting or stopping a recording. They may also indicate whether the input was a microphone, system audio, or an app, and whether recording was active or paused.

Starting with version 3.0.8, reliability reports also include a randomly generated installation identifier, your Windows computer name, and whether the app is running in a remote desktop session. We use this information to distinguish affected installations and investigate repeated problems, including remote-desktop-related faults. The installation identifier is not a hardware identifier or Microsoft account ID, and may change if local diagnostic data is deleted. A computer name may contain personal information if you have included it in that name.

These reports do not include your recordings, screenshots, memory dumps, audio-device names, other app or window titles, recording locations, Microsoft account identifiers, or payment details. We use Sentry to receive and process reliability reports in its United States region, which may be outside your country. Like any network service, Sentry can receive the connecting IP address; our project is configured not to store IP addresses or geographic details in reports.

If you are offline, a report may remain on your PC and be sent on a later app launch. Old local reports are removed during startup cleanup. Server-side reports follow the retention period of our current Sentry plan and may be deleted sooner. Reliability reporting does not require uploading audio and is not needed to record or use purchased features.

You can disable reliability reporting by closing the app and setting NativeDiagnosticsEnabled to false in its local options.json file, then reopening it. On a standard Windows installation this file is in %APPDATA%\Audio Recorder\1; packaged installations may use Windows-managed application storage. Contact us below if you would like help finding the file or disabling reports. This setting does not change your recordings or Pro purchase.

The application does not upload recordings or recording preferences. Versions that support optional advertising measurement can send a random campaign identifier, an event identifier, and the time of the first measured launch or a new Pro purchase to our attribution service, as described below. Existing versions without this feature do not send these events.

4. Microsoft Store purchases

For a purchase linked to optional advertising measurement, supported app versions can send a temporary Microsoft Store verification credential to our attribution server. The server uses it to ask Microsoft whether the Pro product was newly acquired. This temporary credential is processed in memory and is not stored in ordinary measurement records. Verified acquisition time, transaction hashes, order references, transaction amount and currency may be retained to validate and deduplicate conversions. These records expire with the related campaign mapping. We do not collect your Microsoft password, email address or payment instrument.

When you view or buy Audio Recorder+ Pro, Microsoft Store provides localized product information, completes the transaction, and manages the license associated with your Microsoft account. Audio Recorder+ receives product and entitlement information needed to show the offer and unlock purchased features. For a consented advertising visit, supported versions can also read the acquisition campaign identifier supplied through the Store link.

BigTool365 does not receive or store your password, payment-card details, or other payment credentials. Microsoft handles Store information under its own privacy terms.

5. Product website

The Audio Recorder+ website is delivered through an infrastructure provider that may process standard web-request information, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and security logs, to deliver and protect the site. We do not use the site to build advertising profiles or collect audio recordings.

6. Sharing, sale, and retention

Optional advertising measurement records are stored by our Cloudflare Workers and D1 service at biz.soundify.studio. Active click mappings and related events expire after 90 days and are cleaned up every 15 minutes. Infrastructure backups may remain subject to Cloudflare's separate backup retention. When Google Ads conversion reporting is enabled, consented click identifiers and conversion events can be shared with Google Ads; recordings, Microsoft account details and payment credentials are never included.

We do not sell or rent personal information. Because the application does not transmit recordings or local preferences to us, we do not retain them on our servers. Files and settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the application, subject to Windows behavior and any backups you control.

Optional advertising measurement

If you arrive through a Google ad, we ask before linking that visit to app use. If you allow measurement, we store the original Google click identifier with a random Store campaign identifier. Your browser stores your choice for up to 90 days and the campaign identifier for the browser session. We do not collect your email, phone number, recordings or Microsoft account identity for this measurement. Advertising personalization is set to denied.

You can choose “Continue without individual measurement” and still install and use the app. Use “Advertising preferences” in the website footer to change your choice. Refusing after previously allowing measurement removes the mapping associated with the current browser session and its queued server events. Previously reported Google data is subject to Google's processing and privacy terms. For earlier sessions, other devices or other privacy requests, contact us using the address below.

Download links can also contain a shared campaign label, such as the same label for everyone arriving from a particular video or advertising campaign. This label is sent to Microsoft Store for campaign-level acquisition reporting. It does not contain a Google click identifier and does not create an individual click mapping on our attribution server. It can remain in the download link when you decline individual measurement or when website scripts are unavailable. Microsoft processes Store activity under its own privacy terms. Shared campaign totals are not uploaded as individually matched Google Ads conversions.

7. Children

Audio Recorder+ is a general-purpose recording utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the application.

8. Your choices and responsibilities

You decide which source to monitor or record, when recording begins and ends, where files are saved, and whether a recording is shared. You are responsible for following applicable consent, copyright, workplace, and recording laws when capturing audio.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Audio Recorder+ changes or when legal requirements evolve. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
